High consumption of cured meat (at least 4 servings per week) was associated with worsening asthma symptoms, whereas a healthy diet (i.e., rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains) was associated with improvement of asthma symptoms.
The deleterious effects of occupational exposure to household products are now well known. Our results extended current knowledge by showing that the use of products during home cleaning, and more particularly in the form of sprays (which facilitate the inhalation and the dispersion of the products), can alter respiratory health.
